Through its participation in the Portable Film Festival, sixty40’s music clip Battlestar has also been accepted into a permanent exhibition at ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image), Federation Square Melbourne.
The exhibition ‘Future Films’ tells the story of film, television and digital culture in the round – past, present and future. Our work will be part of the section on the contemporary moving image scene in Australia (roughly mid-1960s to the present day), and explores the makers, their works, and how Australia itself is represented through its moving image content.
Our mind-bending music clip Battlestar for Warp Record’s artist Harmonic 313 was voted as ‘film of the day’ at the Portable Film Festival. This is a unique international festival of film and user created content that is delivered completely online and distributed through portable video devices such as laptop, iPod, PSP, or 3G capable mobile phones.
